History Founded in 1925

Established on May 13, 1925, with the purchase of the fishing club known as the Island Pond Club, the Waterloo Country Club has been in continuous operation through good years and bad. Over the years, the Club hosted Saturday night dances featuring local bands, and even held "carnivals" to raise funds during the Great Depression.

The tapestry that is the Waterloo Country Club is woven with fond memories of Sunday afternoon picnics, golf matches, card games, family gatherings and reunions, intertwined with the beauty of the course and grounds and the sounds of children laughing in the pool. May the best days of the Grand Old Lady of Monroe County be ahead of her!
